- The concept is to Compete-Train-Compete and therefore we will have 2 back-to-back competitions with some training in between. The focus of the training piece will be the “technical nature”, fortæller Dean.
- Furthermore, we will videotape races from Flanders Cup January 21-22, Antwerpen and then teach the swimmers to do a simple analysis of the race on their own computers. Christian Timm Kejser Hartz from Team Denmark Performance is an analysist and he will lead this part of the tour. The training will have a technical focus on starts, turns and stroke efficiency. We will do this work after the first competition at the Belgium national training and after that, we will move to Luxembourg Euro Meet January 27-29 for the second meet, uddyber Dean.
- These two competitions are the first long-course meets for the swimmers. Therefore, the focus will be to see where the swimmers are at the moment in a competition situation. Hopefully, this will give us an idea of what we have to work with towards Danish Open, fortæller Dean.
- The swimmers are in a build-up situation right now and they are in a very heavy training phase. Therefore, the performances will be varied depending on the individual but the long-course-racing will help them to progress further, fortæller Dean.
- I would like to see the races executed well for this time of the season with the intent to be better than last year at this time. I hope that the swimmers will be able to follow a race plan and I am excited to see, how well they can hit their split times, fortæller Dean.
- Furthermore, I have introduced the coaches of the Great Danes-team and of the Senior-Team to a new “tailored made” race-model-plan, where we will put some individual info about the swimmers into a large race-data-base and hopefully, this will give us some key information about the swimmers and this information will help us reach new targets. I look forward to see how things turn up the next few months, afslutter Dean.
